We actually called and spoke with the company before purchasing this unit in order to verify that it would work for our set up. We felt that we had asked the correct questions and initially felt comfortable with the purchase. Unfortunately, the one question we didn't think we needed to ask has turned out to be the most crucial. THERE IS NO WAY TO WIRE A THERMOSTAT TO THIS UNIT. Without a thermostat to control when and how much to heat the home this unit is grossly time (since you have to manually turn it on whenever you want heat) and energy inefficient. We've also had problems with inconsistent hot water availability; the shower often goes from scalding hot to luke warm and back again. The installation directions are poorly and incorrectly written, including giving plumbing diagrams for an entirely different unit. Customer service is questionable and the engineer we, and our electrician, have spoken with has left us with more questions than answers. We fully regret not purchasing the more expensive combi unit from an established company with a proven track record in the US.
