K&H Manufacturing Deluxe All-In-One Stock Tank De-Icer Removable Floater Ring Review

(More customer reviews)Don't buy.
I bought several of them. Used them in both the floating & sinking versions. They all shorted out the first season and are now in the garbage.
Need to mention that the "clips" for attaching the cords to the side of the tank are included. I bought extra clips and didn't need them.

The new Farm Essentials line from K&H Manufacturing has reinvented the wheel when it comes to keeping fresh water available in the winter. Every K&H de-icer is safe in all stock tanks, unlike nearly all of the other de-icers available in the market today. No expensive shrouds or cages need be purchased either. Every one of our de-icers can be used as a floating de-icer out of the box or in seconds converts to a submersible de-icer with the click of a button. In the past, all that was readily available were energy gulping 1000 watt to 1500 watt de-icers; Customers had no choice but to purchase these expensive to run de-icers, even when they didn-foott need it. We-footve solved this problem by creating a whole line of de-icers along with a convenient zone chart for consumers to choose the correct de-icer, every time. A free cord safety clip is also included with every de-icer. This ingenious clip secures the de-icer to the edge of the stock tank, bucket or container to help prevent chewing, cribbing or removal of the de-icer from the tank. When it comes to fresh water, K&H Farm Essentials is the choice that makes cents. The Farm Essentials Deluxe De-Icer has wider spaces in the included cage surrounding the heater than the Ultimate model.

API 8PB Pond Breather Heated Aerator, 40 Watts Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It just did not work for me. The float kept tipping over in the water and there was a hose that went to nowhere. I returned it after my son fiddled with it in our backyard for 30 minutes.

Vent harmful gasses from your frozen pond with the Allied Precision Pond Breather. Harmful gasses from decomposing matter and accumulated fish waste can be trapped under the ice in your pond and can reach toxic levels, possibly harming your fish and plants if not allowed to escape. Rather than heating a hole in the ice, the revolutionary Pond Breather is designed to float in your pond, freeze into ice as thick as 15 inches, and move a steady stream of water above the ice layer where gas exchange can then occur. Operating on 120 volts and at an efficient 40 watts, the Pond Breather uses 31 times less energy than 1250 watt pond de-icers. Every 24 hours, the Pond Breather exposes 4,000 to 10,000 times more surface area of water than conventional heaters or de-icers. Supplying only enough heat to keep the water flow open, the Pond Breather creates a gentle current to move oxygen throughout your pond. Eliminate toxic gasses from your pond with the Allied Pond Breather.

K&H Manufacturing Ultimate All-In-One Stock Tank De-Icer Removable Floater Ring Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bought this for my 700 gallon pond after the Farm Innovators Heated Pond Saucer Model PS-200, 200-Watt deicer started to trip my GFI after only 2 months of use! (After taking that one from the water, could hear water slooshing around inside the disk.)
Seems like a good design because of the option to have it float or not, the 250 watt option and it's not a disk that will eventually leak in water.
I was leery of buying this because it said it is for a stock tank but the coils are surrounded so I don't see a way that it could damage a pond liner.
This one has kept the water open for the 1-2 months since I've bought it. I just hope I'm able to use it next year!
